Notes - updated 22-10-05:
Sightings are as and when I have been able to get out and when the service has turned up +/-15 min or so around the average passing time at my usual locations. For 2004 and 2005, I have noted when I have attempted to view the train but it has not appeared and, whenever possible, what the locomotive was when I have been unable to get out to view.
I have given up adding images of each train seen as this site format is a complete pain and images do not always display correctly ! Images for 2003 are to 12 September. Images for 2004 are to 13 May. Use the links on the left to access these.
A Guest Photographs page was added on 04-07-04. Unfortunately some of the photographs are not opening fully, as happened to many of my own. Apologies to the contributors where this has happened.
The 2004 list is almost complete - just a few workings still need identifying. I also need confirmation of a few of workings for 2005. Can anyone help ?
For the period 03-05-05 to 06-05-05 6M16 was supposedly replaced by 6M31 19:49 Southampton Western Docks to Garston. However the two services (6M16 and 6M31) ran on what appeared to be a haphazard basis for several weeks. By mid June, the trains appeared to have settled into a pattern with 6M16 running on a Tuesday and Thursday and 6M31 running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
As forecast in the last update of these notes, the last autoliner (6M31) from Southampton ran on 07-10-2005, with 6M16 running for the final time on 06-10-05.
